When my brother's study loan was approved, I told him to explore the nature more. Simply because I love nature and New Zealand has been the most breathtaking-view place I've ever been to. I even told him if you see a good single man who loves nature as much as I do, do introduce him to your sister aka yours truly.

Like every new years, ppl tend to have new resolution/s or remake old resolutions to better ones.

Too cliche.

And in my mind, I tend to not be like everybody else. (Well, most of them at least). I try to not having new resolutions..at all.

After more than a minute of thinking, I started to question myself, WHO would live without resolution?

Try google the word resolution. Go and look for the meaning in the dictionary. None explain the word negatively.

So. who would want to live negatively? Only those with disturb minds would, I presume.

I end up having resolutions afterall. Because I know I don't want to live without purpose. Even my religion don't encourage that.

No matter how big or small, have resolution and go make it happen. That way, you would have a purpose to live in this life and the lifeafter insyaAllah :)

p/s: Ppl say, if you say the resolution out loud, in front of many people, the resolution will likely be successful. :D

Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover

Im just titling this post as so because....well, most of my post don't really relate to the title. Heh
Actually this one does. Haha.Ok mental x stabil :||
Back then, I chose books by how attractive the cover was. Yes. I saw. I bought.
Now, still not much difference :|
1) Saw attractive book cover
2) Read synopsis
3) Read introduction
4) Then decide to buy :)

I watched this Korean show. They were promoting places in Korea. There was this street called Bosu Dong Book Street. The shops at the street sell books. Lots of them. Old and new. At a very cheap price! Coolnesss! This street existed since 1950s! Apparently, Koreans love to read. Book heaven I tell ya!

Eversince I watched u've Got Mail, Ive always dream to have a mega bookstore(like Borders) of my own. I planned this with my high school friends, Cthans n Zue. It was wayyy back then, this plan. I am still holding to this dream, I am not sure about the 2 friends tho. InsyaAllah, I would want this to happen. Perhaps having a small quite little bookstore first, something like the one Vanessa and Dan go in Season 4 if Im not mistaken. (Gosh it has been ages ive marathoning tv series!!! )

A girl can only dream right? Nope, I believe I can make this happen with the help from Allah, big actions from my side and financial support from the family (ok kidding hehe). Pray for this to happen :)

im sure most Malaysians watched the football match between Msia n Indon at the SEA Games. good game indeed. even mom watched to the end (usually she sleep halfway watching any movie :|) bangge gile jadi org malaysia. bangge juge dgn Harimau Muda. They played really really good, better than the Harimau Malaya.

tapi....melampau sgt la perhatian yg diberikan kat derang. siap dapat RM30k each! I mean, they only contributed 1 gold.. and that's it! Other teams lagi bnyk sumbang, tapi liputan utk derg mcm takde :| ke ade, tapi media x gembar gemburkan?? ape2 pon, tahniah kepade kontinjen malaysia atas pencapaian kamu semua ( as if derg nk bace :| )

oh! pengalaman tgk match haritu...i watched with my maid. indon mari.only the 2 of us. the feeling...gile x best!!esp mase indon score 5th min. im sure she was excited, tp taleh nk jerit jugak haha. mase kite dapat rampas bola i also cannot excite terlebih. thank god 2nd half she x tgk n my siblings came to join me (b4 tu they watch tv downstairs pfft).

my dad's plak, he and a friend was at an indonesian restaurant when the match started. dis is 1 of his fav restaurant, minang cuisine. tp timing nk mkn tu x betol. they were the only mesian inside the restaurant. mmg depressing. xleh nk sorak beriye2. habes 1st half, they quickly cau haha.

so moral of the story, if u want to watch any match, make sure to be with the same supporters. :P

We were goofing ourselves while playing badminton yesterday. We tried alternating both hands. Funny when the hand rarely used, was used :D I used my body force (ceh..ala2 starwars gitu!) instead of swaying the hand.
good laughs. funny times :D
I am always a lefty you see. and he is too. but only yesterday he realized that he played with the right hand all this while. haha. so when we tried alternating, both of his hands could swing. sooo jealous!
whatever.
now my right hand is in pain :(

I have just started to seriously read the tafsir. I am only at chapter 17 :p So far, my fav chapter is chapter 12, surah Yusuf. I admit I am new. And I am reading on my own. InsyaAllah, I will seek for proper lesson on the tafsir soon. So the reason I like surah Yusof is because it is really simple, and only mention the stories of Yusof. All the verses has proper storyline, which I as a beginner can really understand. After finished reading the whole surah, I even think that his story can be make a TV drama :| Very much related to people's behaviour. Do you know many Jews converted to Islam after hearing this chapter? MasyaAllah.

Yesterday, I came across this few verses which give me immediate impact. Ala2 kene batang hidung sendiri.

It is from the chapter 17, verse 23-30:Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and do good to parents. If any one of them or both of them reach old age, do not say to them: uff (a word or expression of anger or contempt) and do not scold them, and address them with respectful words, (23) And submit yourself before them in humility out of compassion, and say, “My Lord, be merciful to them as they have brought me up in my childhood.” (24) Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts. If you are righteous, then He is Most-Forgiving for those who turn to Him in repentance. (25) Give the relative his right, and the needy and the wayfarer. And do not squander recklessly. (26) Surely, squanderers are brothers of satans, and the Satan is very ungrateful to his Lord. (27) And if you turn away from them looking for a bounty from your Lord you are expecting, then speak to them in polite words¹. (28) And do not keep your hand tied to your neck, nor extend it to the full extent, lest you should be sitting reproached, empty-handed ². (29) Indeed, your Lord expands sustenance for whomsoever He wills, and constricts (for whomsoever He wills). Surely, He is All-Aware of His servants, All-Seeing. (30)
¹ This means, if you have nothing to give in charity, as required by verse 26 above, and you are expecting Allah will give you enough resources in future to spend in charity, you should apologize to the needy person in polite words, and should not reject their request in a rude manner.
² 'Keeping hands tied to the neck' is an expression that stands for miserliness. The verse means, that one should not be miserly nor extravagant. In the latter case, one may sit empty handed, reproaching oneself for overspending his wealth.

It doesn't completely hit me, but I do feel the tempias-ness. I like the way the Quran mentioned how we should respect our parents and belittle ourselves and pray that Allah have mercy on them as how they took care of us when we were little. Very nicely said. If you are incapable to give help n care, tell them nicely that you can't. And if you have good intention, insyaAllah He will always give you ways if He intends to.So these verses explained how we should act as humans. There are more on the next verses eg avoid zina, do good to orphans etc. Go and read it if you're interested to know more :)

Raye Oh Yeah

This year, like the previous years, dad goes to Mecca for his umrah. This time around, he brings Izwan along (together with his 3 friends). They're gonna celebrate raya there and only be back on the 2nd of raya. May they be safe there Amin..

Another few days to celebrate raya. Honestly, I am excited and sad at the same time. Sad for leaving Ramadhan as I have not been using the blessed month fully and happy because it's RAYA!!! We may go for some last minute shopping after this. Going back to Pilah tomorrow. Hee.

Oh! I sell kuih raya this year!!! Haha. Not much, restricted to only friends hahha. I may keep the reasons to myself :P Not sure whether I want to do it again next year. It was fun....and painful too haha. To those who have bought em, I hope you like em. Sorry for the misshaped, and some were a bit burnt :s

GOAL!

We were hanging out, exchanging infos and stuff and this story came about.

Are you familiar with the blue zones? It is 5 parts of the world where people live the longest. Scientists and researchers are doing studies on these people on how we can take the best of their behaviors to live longer as well. I have often heard of pick n plucking your meal for the day rather than from the can, exercising more; use the steps etc, be in a stress-free environment, you know the usual healthy stuff. But this is the first time I heard of having a purpose in life can help boost your longevity.

These people, they are a small community. What is important to them is to live and provide living for their family. They plant / breed their food. So all they do is plant, grow, harvest, feed their poultries, come back home with the rezeki for that day, cook and eat together with the whole family. The interesting part is, at night before they go to sleep, the whole family will gather and the head of the house will tell/remind/instruct them what they should do tomorrow, so that they will have a reason to wake up the next morning.

1) I know being a goal oriented person brings out the positive attitude in your character

2) I didn't realize a community with no specific education have this kind of positive attitude

3) I don't know having a purpose in life can lead to longevity. But now when I start to ponder to this words, it's logical!

I am amaze with this finding.

I do have the long term goal. And I have my short term goal as well (which I have put in my blog quite some time ago). A friend buzz me and ask whether I wanna go do 1 of the goal in my list. Oh and I am so glad she asked coz I will keep on procrastinating until God knows when. InsyaAllah some things on the list will be scratch soon woohoo!

I remembered a friend suggesting to kill 2 birds with a stone. Well, tempting as it can be imagined, I will try to keep that picture in my mind and do the necessary. Hoo cuak2. Ngee~

These few days, I can't really sleep. It's the vertigo I'm having now. Tired of trying and changing my sleep positions and wasting my time, I FB'ed and found this vid. I have been living here in Bandar Puteri for almost 6 months. Yet, I only find this shop last Sunday. Most probably, I drive all the time and I don't have the time to look around on a busy street. SO, I sign up as a member since I know I will be shopping my groceries there after this. And I got this book. Looks interesting. I only read few pages and I am excited! Haha. There are also some recipes I can try wee~!

Few months back I had little trouble with my license and it crashed my laptop. So I had to reformat it and this time I use the original version. Yes, do buy original people! Pirated ones are big time pain in the ass.

So obviously most of the things inside my laptop were gone. Sad.. yes but what to do. Serves me right for using pirated cds :( ( After soooo many years, this is my first time having trouble using pirated boohoo)

I managed to save the work stuff ( and I am glad I'd be able to) but had to sacrifice all the files fall under entertainment, and that includes all my pictures from last few years, most of my tv series ( I saved some in my portable hdisk), and all of my songs. Sigh~ And what use of a laptop if not having all this entertainment files right???

Thank god there's facebook where I uploaded many many albums so I can still have my pictures. I have many friends who shares the same interest of tv series so they're my backups :D And as for songs, there are soooo downloadable nowadays. Jyeahhh~!

I click on few radio stations' website. Download most of the songs that are on top of the chart huhu. So I came across this song called Goodbye by Paperplane Pursuit and immediately love it. I think they're Malaysian. Huhu. Malas mahu google. But sedap la the lagu. Suke2~

I thot it was some orang puteh's song ; Elton John or Eric Clapton or whoever haha.

I am officially announcing that I have found my most expensive favourite place to hang out, which is the KLIA. I have realized it long time ago but only now deciding to make it black n white (yes my laptop is black in color and the screen is white :| ). Why?

1) I know I have not been to many airports so I am going to make comparisons with those I have visited. And yes, KLIA is one of the coolest. It's new and modern and everything that is hip :P

2) I love to watch people. Where else can you find variety of faces at a time? AIRPORT definitely!!!

3) It's spacious! Even when it is crowded haha.

4) I love planes. Since I can't be at the hangar without proper permission, KLIA is good enough :|

5) The feeling I have when going to KLIA the first time was a happy feeling ..as far as I could remember. So everytime I go there, I always feels good and happyy :)

But please, do stuff yourself with food before going to KLIA as the food is totally not worth it to buy :| That is the only downside of KLIA. oh! if possible ask someone to drop you off or go get on a bus to get to KLIA. Would save a lot of money on parking :)

Nevertheless, I still love KLIA :x

The other day I was driving with A. It rained non stop since morning. I complained on the gloomy day. Then A said we should be thankful. You know how Arabs are known to be not friendly people. But when it rains, they greeted each other happily. Likewise, in Europe they are cheerful and bubbly especially when the sun comes out. So yeah, I tried to be Arabs the other day. Happy with the rain. Earlier today, the sun is finally visible after 2non stop rainy days. In fact, it was very terik, it hurts my eyes. Nevertheless, I tried my best to be Europeans.

Hoh. My point is, we should be thankful with what we have here in Malaysia. Even the rusuhan here is manageable. I pity those in Cairo. Terrible incident! Pray hard for those innocents, hope they are safe.Oh, and for the mangsa banjir. Hope they are ok n be very patient with all the dugaan. Amin...

An interesting thought came up while i was talking to A. I was in the exact topic of conversation some time ago and since I came across this topic again this time, I would like to remind myself hence the entry. I read my blog when I am bored you see :|

It is about how our work affecting us. Among the questions came up were ; happiness? satisfaction? honesty?

No, we didn't talk about happiness with how much money we were making. Instead, how many deeds we've collected so far. Were we happy with the job we do/did. No, it wasn't about satisfying the boss with the job done but more importantly our own satisfaction or to a logical extend, to the God's satisfaction? No, not the honesty towards clients/company but towards ourselves. Or are we just being pretentious all the time?

Let's make doa that we are making the right decisions in life.

All this heavy thoughts makes me hungry. Craving for TGIF's mac n cheese ball!!!

Since I changed my job, I noticed that i have been watching my diet and lifestyle. No I am not fat, i just need to watch my food intake and exercise more regularly. Since I have decided to be healthy in everything (it's my 2011's resolution), I am thoroughly following some routines. So far alhamdulillah, I am still on track.

Among the things I need to follow is food making. I am not the person who likes to cook or prepare food for myself. Especially when I am not living with my mom who usually prepares food for the whole family. So I have been experimenting recipes from time to time. Most of the times, they don't turn out good :( InsyaAllah, with a bit more practice, I'll be the next masterchef hahha. Oh! I watched the Junior Masterchef and I was in total awe. MasyaAllah the kids really know their way in the kitchen. RESPECT!

I like this tv programme called Vitamin. It's Korean. I watched it @ KBS world. It's an informative programme which is not too serious :| Heh. Else I'll get bored too soon.

I have been procrastinating for few weeks now. Big bad habit of mine which I am fighting to get over with. Earlier today I woke up earlier than usual and checked out half of my pending tasks. It felt goooood. So easy peasy tasks but took toooooo long to finish. Haish.. I remembered a talk I attended few weeks ago where the speaker mentioned that most people can't get off the M attitude. MALAS n MANJA. Yes I admit I am in the most people crowd. Need to spank my ass a little harder la this time. YOSH!!!!

I watched a movie just now ; Watching the Detectives. Huh, I just realized the title doesn't suit the storyline :|

Anyhu..Lucy Liu was the lead actress. I knew her from Charlie's Angel, resembling the asian, martial art-sy, cold yet sexy kinda girl. But in the Watching the Detectives, she is nothing like 'Alex'. She's like the girl next door fun kinda girl, which i like. Actually, the info Astro provided describing her was a femme fatale :| I rarely use that word so dun rili know what it means (before I googled of coz) :|

Oh and she has this tv aquarium thingy. Cute ar. So Hani/Nathan, saye sokong korang build the aquarium :P

Oh! go la n watch this movie. very relaxing n fun n tah hape2 movie. my mos fav genre so far :P

I have been blog hopping and the most thing people blog about these few days is the new year's resolution. Yeay it's 2011!!! Oh how time flies.

I have few plans for this year. With Allah's will, I hope my plans work out as planned :) As of now, I will keep it to myself first.

I hope that I can be more healthy this year. Not just physically healthy, but spiritual, emotional, mental and financially healthy. And having said that, I will do everything possible to make this happen :)

Guess what!! I ate togeh today!!!! Yerp. And it was a spoonful of togeh ok!!! To close friends and family, I am sure they know I am a togeh hater. I will patiently put all the togeh on my plate ( this is usually the case when I forgot to tell the macik to not put any togeh with the mee) out from the plate. But what do you know. I ATE TOGEH! So after that, I feel the sudden urge to continue marathoning my Survivor20 (been trying to watch it in 1 shot but I couldn't stand the pressure after watching each episodes). Now it's azan and I paused and suddenly thought of Ethan Zohn!!! My most fav survivor EVER. So I googled and oh he just survived cancer and is now in remission. Oh oh my. :(

I was not a big fan of britney spears, but true enough I kinda grew up with her, so I know most of her songs.

we started our own biggest loser program. Me being very not consistent. First I just want to be the judge. Then decided to join in the fun. Then suddenly I think I need to gain instead of lose. Blurgh! Whatever it is, like Coach Hani said, the end result matters the most :) So let's exercise and eat healthily people!

I am a BIGG fan of sitcoms. From the most sitcoms I love, I can observe one thing. They always have a place to hang out; a bar, coffee bistro, restaurant. And I think it would be cool if me and my friends have a place to chillax too. We could have our own fav restaurant, our own reserved table, all the staff know us and we can laugh our hearts out like no other business :P

Then I remembered this one incident when me n sis live together. We were working, at the normal working hours. Obviously we do not have time to cook for ourselves. Plus, the house condition was so inconvenient to b cooking any meals. So we always had most of our meals at this nearby gerai. The food was not bad, suits our taste bud. The ambiance was ok, so yeah, we OFTEN be seen there. Then this one 'fine' day, when we want to pay for our food, the cashier cum waitress asked us one irritating question, "awak ni x masak ke kat rumah?"

adoi!!! kitorg pegi kedai tu bknnye selalu berhutang kak! byr je selalu. kasi untung gak kt akak. akak nk kecoh saye masak ke..x masak ke apehal????

IF we were to have our own fav place to hang out, I will make sure we choose the place properly. No hassle staff whatsoeva :|

Monday was weird.

I was shopping for my groceries (woohoo!!). Total price was RM55.55. I almost joke with the cashier, that she should bet on that number, but of course I didn't. Hoh.

Then as I walked off the market, a man stopped me asking me to claim for my free mug. It's free, so y not?

Then he said I should fill up a form. Just the simple full name and IC and phone no. Then he handed me a sealed card. He asked me to tear it. I asked y. He said this is a lucky draw. Either I get some container or a voucher worth RM100 or I get nothing. I don't usually stop and listen to people to promote their products (yes I am that bad :| ) but their strategy of handing free stuff first works tremendously. Cudos to them. So back to the lucky draw thingy, I tore and saw 2 pictures with RM100 word on it. I showed the card to the sales man, he looked at it, then he asked me:

Sales Man: Kak! Ni kad yang saye kasi akak tadi ke?

Me: Ha yelah. Kenape??

Sales Man: Eh! kejap eh kak. Saye cek dgn staf lain.

(went to consult other staff)

Sales Man: Akak! akak tau x ape yg akak menang ni?

Me: Ha ape?

Sales Man: Ni sume kad2 yang orang lain dah bukak(while showing other cards). Tade 1 pon mcm akak. Akak ni bace ape mase koyakkan kad ni? Akak bace bismillah ke?

Me: (Smirk..and still not realizing I won big!)

The sales man was still in shock and consult another staff. The other staff told him to call the HQ to confirm. Then the phone was handed to me.

HQ: Selamat petang ye puan. Boleh puan bacekan ape yang puan menang?

Me: (Read as on the card)

HQ: Di blkg kad tu ade bar code, boleh puan bacekan utk saye?

Me: (Read the bar code to the HQ ppl)

Then only I realize I did win big. I asked the sales man what actually happened. I won about Rm6k worth of products! And with the RM100 voucher, I swipe my CIMB credit card and I got another free gift! All in all, I won almost RM7k of stuff!!! After checking with the HQ, I was the 7th out of 10 lucky people in Malaysia who won the lucky draw. Huhu...

The conditions for winning that lucky draw were:

1) I can't sell all the stuff I won

2) I have to promote the products every time people come to my house hahaha. So the co is Electrofast :D There u go. Promoting's done :D

3) I haf to take pictures to be put in the BH as the lucky winner. I was not at my best to be frank. My initial intention was to only buy groceries! Y do I need to dress up right? Fortunately, because of the over enthusiasm situation, they forgot to take mine so fuhh selamat :D

So the manager came to the store to congratulate me. Then after demo-ing all the stuff I won, the sales man helped me to load all the stuff inside my car.

I was hungry. haven't had lunch and it was already 9pm. So when the sales man asked me to go for a drink with him, I agreed ! :| Only because it was at the mall itself. And I was in a happy mood.

Haha.

Too many weird things happen. We never know where the rezeki could come from. Syukur alhamdulillah :)

Oh u know what, of the chaos and over excited scene, they forgot to give the free mug to me ahahaha

MELAKA MAJU 2010

10.10.10, has became a tarikh keramat to many2 people around the world.

But I would appreciate this coming date more- 20th Oct 2010.

Yerp, it is the date where my very own hometown MELAKA, will be celebrating the MELAKA MAJU 2010. hence the date 20.10 2010 is being chosen.

I was born in Hospital Besar, Melaka. I have been living in Melaka since the day I was born. But I have never been a good Melakan.

Why so:

1) Mom n Dad are both N9ers. I was raised as a N9er.

2) My fav dish would be all those masak lemak tempoyaks and cili apis. Only recently I favour asam pedas.

Can't resist this pucuk masak lemak tempoyak with udang rite!

3) I hate cencaluk.

4) I don't know the way around Melaka (ok this reason is applicable to any cities in the world hoho)

5) I don't speak the Melakan's dialect well. It would sound stupid if I do :|

Nevertheless.... I still love Melaka *Hugs*

Why so:

1) I hardly had heavy traffic here in Melaka. I don't mind going back and forth to the same place many2 times!

2) I can go to any districts of Melaka and no toll fares charge on me what so ever!!

3) It has been my longest dream to have a peaceful surroundings and kampung /old skool style of living. I may consider settling down in Melaka huhu.

Can you get this beautiful tangga elsewhere?

4) Being single and living with the parents and be spoiled, save my daily expenses :D

5) The state is so small, you won't end up lost at the end of the day hoho.

I am patriotic. During the early years studying history, I enjoyed it so much as it was of Melaka. I love my Melaka as much as I love my Malaysia :D

Dear Dear Alarm

This morning was funny.

I often snooze my alarm. Most of the times, I will miss my Subuh prayer. Thanks to this video, I tried as much to win over the Satan.

So this morning, I woke up to my alarm. Snooze it. And immediately wake up after the 2nd snooze and performed my prayer.

After the prayer, I looked at the watch, and it is only 545am!!! And Subuh only starts at 545am. Adeih!!

Then I realized, the alarm I woke up to was my sahur alarm. And I thought I've missed my sahur.

Frustrated, I went back to bed, hoping to wake up to my real Subuh alarm. But tak bangun jugak!!! Sengal ey?

Nways, alhamdulillah, in 17mins, I manage to puasa 6 yey!

Gonna prep for my break fast.

watched Tun Mahathir's musical. I have to be frank. I don't like it. There were only 3 scenes I enjoyed :-

1) The Poster Hanging ( I love the bushy haired guy like always =p~ )

2) The Romantic Scene of Mahathir and Siti Hasmah

3) The playback video when Tun decided to announce his resignation at the UMNO meeting

Blame me trying to compare this play with PGL, with Pramlee musical, with CUCI musical, but I am only a person, who enjoys this kind of play and somehow Tun's musical don't intrigue me..at all. I adore TUn, but not this play. Kind of disappointed actually.

Last nite I watched Eat Pray Love. I have been waiting for this movie since forever. I don't read the book, but I super love Julia Roberts, hence the excitement of watching this movie overflow with nothingness hoho. Buttttt....the movie was just okay. I guess if it wasn't Jules Roberts, the movie would be plain :|

Tomorrow will be my 6th insyaAllah :)

We went to visit 3 houses yesterday.

2 of them were open houses.

There were all mom's siblings.

Yerp. she has 12 siblings altogether.

And we still have not visited all of them for raya. Yet.

And upon reaching home yesterday,

i felt sick.

Stomach feeling all gassy.

Severe headache.

I slept from 10pm to 130am.

Isyak.

Had some shake.

Sleep until 630am.

Subuh.

Continue sleeping until Izwan woke me for lunch at 2pm :|

But the pain was still there.

I planned to go to Sue's wedding tomorrow.

But has to b cancelled :(

Hari ini,

julung kali buat Malaysia,

menggazetkan cuti buat seluruh rakyatnya.

Hari ini,

Tarikh keramat ini,

mencatatkan sejarah,

Sabah dan Sarawak bergabung bersama,

dan lahirlah Malaysia, negara yang ku cinta.

Tiada cerita yang disiarkan di tv yang menarik perhatian ku. Lalu ku buka komputer riba ku, melihat-lihat apa cerita menarik yang belum ku tonton lagi.

Banyak.

TIba-tiba aku teringat akan satu filem yang baru ku ambil; My Name Is Khan.

Aku masih ingat suatu ketika dahulu, betapa kami sekeluarga seronok menonton filem hindi, terutama sekali hasil karya Karan Johar. Asal hero dan heroin nya seseorang yang terkenal, kami beramai-ramai berkumpul di depan tv untuk menontonnya. Tapi zaman itu telah berlalu. zaman kegilaan filem hindi tidak lagi menular di kalangan orang melayu sekarang. Mungkin hanya segelintir sahaja yang masih mengikuti perkembangan dunia Bollywood.

Perasaan 1Malaysia ku membuat ku tertarik untuk menonton filem My Name Is Khan ini.

Filem ini bukan klise. Tidak seperti filem hindi tipikal. Tidak ade babak tari menari dan menyanyi. Tidak banyak kostum yang digunakan yang perlu berganti-ganti setiap kali menyanyi. Tiada pula babak pergaduhan dengan efek suara yang melampau.

Jalan ceritanya sungguh menarik. Penyampaian mesejnya cukup sempurna. Sungguh telus, jujur dan adil. Ia mengisahkan tentang perjalanan seorang lelaki Islam yang mengalami Asperger's Syndrome atau autism. Betapa dia menghadapi masalah berhadapan dengan masyarakat Amerika selepas peristiwa 9/11.Walaupun berpenyakit, lain daripada orang lain, tidak melemahkan semangatnya untuk berpegang atas apa yang dipercayainya. Filem tentang Islam, percintaan dan seorang pesakit autism ini sangat menyentuh hatiku. Pendekatan yang ingin dibawa dari filem ini amat menarik, iaitu agama bukanlah kriteria atau penyebab utama, tetapi cara hidup manusia sesuatu komuniti itu sendiri. Aku memang menyarankan SEMUA orang untuk menonton filem ini.

Bagiku, hasil pembikinan filem ini mampu menukar segala jenis persepsi.

Alangkah baiknya kalau ada karyawan Malaysia yang boleh menghasilkan filem sebagus My Name Is Khan ini dan ditontonkan khas sempena Hari Malaysia. Supaya generasi muda lebih celik dan matang tentang konsep 1 Malaysia ini. Jelas sekali, belum ramai yang arif...termasuklah aku.

Raya '10 @ Pilah

I have drafted an entry in Malay, but don't feel like posting it.

I promised myself to write in Malay as much as I can. I've noticed, my vocab is getting weaker from time to time. The only source for me to improve my Malay is from newspapers / magazines. I speak 80(or 90)% of Malay everyday but it's all simple Malay. I started to realize I need to improve my Malay since I helped my lil sister on her karangan. Man, it was hard to draft one. InsyaAllah, more of my later entries will be written in Malay. Feel free to comment on the grammar, struktur ayat etc.

How's Raya? Mine's good so far. The day before raya, I told myself to try to eat just enough during raya. After 4 days of raya, I have not feeling hungry AT ALL. All I did was eat and eat and eat and sleep. Terrible ey? Breakfast, lunch and dinner is a must. There's always snacks between meals. I eat eventho Im not hungry. We have more than 10 balangs of kuih raya to finish. How can I not at least try all of them, right?

Daddy's coming home tomorrow. We're going to have some kenduri/makan2 for him. Then I will try to puasa 6. It's the only way to stop myself from eating :| I have to stop eating daging. These 4 days have been all rendang daging for me. And lemang has been my must have daily delicacy(??) .

Now perot pon dah bloat. Thighs pon getting bigger macam kaki lembu New Zealand.

It's time to undusty my running shoes ppl!!

I can't sleep. I have been sleeping too much during the day. Yerp, the only 2 things I did during raya :|

i love dis man so much. i love his songs even more.

an ex collegue even address me as his biggest fans. and only because i went to his concert haha.

Anyway, raya is coming. Yesterday was raya prep day. Fun :)

Haven't done any raya shopping yet. I mean apart from the baju raya that is :P

I will be simple this raya.

Not yet to be spending as I want. Not just yet...

Daddy, like previous years, went to Mecca alhamdulillah.

We will be going back to Pilah this coming wednesday insyaAllah.

So far, not feeling the raya mode yet eventho radios haf been playing multiple raya songs.

oh! and what's with the TV3's raya commercial? WEIRD!

The other day, went terawih at a masjid. The imam was good. I enjoyed how he recite the Quran. Beautiful.

At a sentence (or 2), he cried. I was touched. At that time, I regret of not learning Arabic.

Well, I did learn Arabic during primary schools. But all I can remember is DIKUN=chicken.

Seriusly, I dunno why that is the most unforgettable word of all :|

Ok, I still remember how to count in arabic (up to 10 :| ) and some really basic stuff, but that's it.

Allah's will, I would want to take Arabic Communication Class :)

Watched Jejak Rasul, the episode on Islam, Christian and Jews.

tempoh hari, kami berbuka puasa bersama. sesuatu yang biasa saya lakukan bertahun-tahun, tapi tidak bersama mereka. suatu pengalaman yang saya rasa sungguh luar biasa. saya agak terkejut dengan diri saya, bagaimana saya dapat menyesuaikan diri serta merta walaupun ada ketika terasa agak kekok.

saya kagum dengan mereka. mereka tidak seperti kanak-kanak biasa, yang cukup segala. terus terang, kadang-kadang saya rasa cemburu dengan kehidupan mereka. mereka bebas berfikir, melakukan apa yang mereka suka, apa yang mereka rasa mereka perlu lakukan.tapi saya tahu saya tamak untuk berfikiran begitu. sudah tentu mereka mahukan kehidupan normal seperti orang lain.

saya berbual dengan salah seorang di sana. masyaAllah dia mempunyai memori yang tajam. boleh mengingati setiap butir maklumat tentang keluarganya di kampung, keluarganya di rumah itu. saya agak terkejut ketika dia menceritakan tentang masalahnya. kasihan, seorang yang begitu genius bagi saya tidaklah sesempurna mana. Tuhan maha kaya.

Alhamdulillah, saya bersyukur diberi peluang untuk berjumpa dengan mereka. membuatkan saya lebih hargai apa yang saya ada walaupun tidaklah mewah. Mewah, bukanlah dari segi harta tetapi segala-galanya. Tak patut untuk kita rasa tidak cukup kerana sesungguhnya ada lagi yang kurang bernasib baik.

I made this for buka puase today. The Nasi Goreng Shitake with Deep Fry Fillet Ikan :)

But this is not what I want to blog about. Instead, I wanna talk about tangan pijar. U know, when u haf to hold chillis and suddenly the hands feel heaty :|

Being a N9-er, I absolutely can't avoid chillies in my cooking. But I can get pijar-ed easily and instantly.

1905pm- done with the cooking. hands gets more pijar. fanning n blowing hands to give cool air while waiting for azan maghrib

1922pm- azan! buke pose! still pijar but the mind was more focus on the food :P

1947pm- drink CEO Coffee. refreshing!

1949pm- start to realize the pijar is no more!

the point is , the coffee gets my pijar away. Weehee!

I tried googling simptom of tangan pijar but can'f find any. Tips to get off the pijar were plenty. Among them are gosok with air gram n then put hand on fire for a while (like WHAT??) saket kot!!

so im sticking with my coffee :) just a sip gets the pijar away love love!

oh but I tink I need a cooking glove next time. Hmm.. I can tahan saket but not pijar!!! So, out of curiosity... doctors/researchers/healthcheckers out there, any ideas on the simptoms of tangan pijar?

Oh! yesterday Dad decided to stay for the ceramah after terawih. But I wasn't in the mood and so I walked. I googled, and it was a 1.8km walk huhu. I never realized I enjoyed nite walking so much. Oh! and did I mention I walk with me telekung on? Classic ey ? :P

I am in Melako rite now.

Along the way back, I saw 2 accidents. Jam toruk! Lucky it was the other side of the road. Mine was longang. I received a lot of calls during the journey back, but of the bad accidents, I decided not to answer any of the calls :| Maaf la yo to those who called :| It's not my fault my hands-free rusak. It was broken the moment I bought it. And being me, I decided not to claim for a new free replacement :P

Anyway, I was upset with my radio keto. I think it got to do something with the band pass filter(??). The radio channels can easily lumpek to other stations. Pissed me off man! So I tuned to other channels and stumble onto this 1 station where bahaso ibundo se was the dialect used. The DJs were kelaka nk mampuih! So se layan yo lah station tu till i got home heh.

Sobona eh se x plan to go back pon today. In fact, I planned to stay longer at the new home. BIG REASON is, i got sooo maleh when Im in the comfort of my home, my bed. I can do absolutely nothing when im at home. But, abah se called on the 1st day of ramadan, and ask to go back bukak poso samo samo. Se taknak lah jadi anak derhako, se balik lah :)

And yerp, the moment I got home, I lay on the couch, yes LAY. and switch on the tv. Lucky it's ramadan, satans are tied up. now im going to pray :)

I have been dragging cum weightlifting cum cardio-ing all my stuff to the new hse from the old hse as well as the permanent hse :| Thanks lil sis, Linn n Serk for helping out ;)

Will make sure everything is ready by noon. Can't bear any weight lifting anymore hoho.

Oh! We went Nite Walk Marathon the other day! It was fun fun fun!!! Ours was 5km. Yes, we are no athletes, so we dare not take risk :P

1st, we had to park the car FAR as the road was closed. That was 1.5km away from the starting line :| Then the marathon was 5km. And the way back was another 1.5km. So we walk/jog/run 8km that nite! My personal best time was ±40mins which I am soooo proud of :D Definitely will try other marathons after this and set a new record for my personal best :D

I just feel the urge to tosh yet another entry. So here come another one for today.

I just send Babaji for a service maintenance the other day. It was it's 1st major service. I

paid almost RM500 for that service. That is A LOT of money to be thrown out just like that.

And that makes me think and wonder. People (who own cars) are willing to spend that much

for a car. Reason being, they want the car to function normally. They want their cars to be

able to carry them anywhere they want. They do not want something bad happen to the car

eg. broke down in the middle of the night which will only troubles the owner even more,

in terms of security as well as financial crisis to mend their cars.

But...

We often neglect the most important valuable thing given to us which is US. Have we been

maintaining ourselves as much as we service our cars? Imagine a car of 20years has not

been send to the workshop to be service, will it still work? I doubt so.

So...

Do spend on your body maintenance too. The 'engines' need to be clean, unclog and

refuel.Of all things, do not be stingy on yourselves. After all, we are the ones who is

going to deal with our own body later on. And we better make sure that it won't cause us

into any deep trouble. Surely we do not want the body 'broke down' in the middle of the

night. Or, any time of the day!! Then if we're lucky enough, we could go and send to the

'workshop' to be 'mend'.

A 2 cent from me that could be ponder by others InsyaAllah...

I've quit my job.

i remembered telling some friends, "if i were to leave my job, i would do it gracefully...in other word..i won't leave a bad repo". and i guess i did quite well. i got good notes and wishes from my ex colleagues, and judging from those, I wud say i managed to pull off the " harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati meninggalkan name" phrase. Hoho. Oh well, who would want to praise u except urself, rite? I am going to hold on to dat attitude for a while :P

im jotting down chop chip recipes. Planning to do some baking tomorrow :P Hope it turns out good :D

I was spring cleaning my phone -deleting unwanted things.

Then I came across this photo. This was taken when I was driving to Aizat's house. It was at a traffic lite. It was red. Everyone stopped. And there was a homeless man, eating under the flyover. Then the man in the car in front of me, rolled down the window and waved his hand towards the homeless man. Then he took out a bottle of mineral water and pointing it out to the homeless man.

I looked at the homeless man, he stopped eating. He looked at the man waving bottle at him with a puzzle look. I didn't dare to roll down my window but I guess the man in the car shouted something to the homeless man. Then he walked towards the car slowly. Too slow, the man in the car decided to put the bottle on the road, and let the homeless man took it from there instead.

This scenario shows that, Malaysian still has the generous heart after all.

Which reminds me of an article I read this morning. About a Russian who lost his passport and her travel docs. Lucky her, some orang asli helped her, giving her rice to eat and some cooking utensils for her to survive while she settles her problem with the immigration. And a fruit supplier who help raised money for her air tix.

Nice eh?

Oh! for the first time, I managed to to it right :D Woohoo!!

F has been 'nagging' of not updating. ( i know u hate the word nag :P )
so here I am, trying to blab on TOSH.

Ermh..it's the world cup fever. But I dun get infected. Not like last time. Mainly because I do not own any TV. And I seldom ate outside during dinner. This year's is funny anyway. Underdogs rule. My alltime fav is not playing anymore, so I dun haf any more reason to watch football. Haha...Being bimbo on football.
No, I dun watch football because of the hawtnness of the players. I look for the skills. Well, looks play tiiiinnny bit of my fondness towards football :P

My last date will be on the 16th. Confirmed by HR. A collegue's last date was yesterday. But she is still in the office doing work at 737pm :| TODAY! crazy.
I hope I don't haf to be like her :|

Father's Day

Yesterday was father's day. I wished him...like always. But this year, he replied me differently. Differently, it made me cry..literally. He wasn't a person who shows his feeling easily. But I was so touched with his words they made me go all emo-y (plus, I was marathoning GA which never fails to 'enlighten' me with the dramas).
